I sometimes feel like a break from DK, Aran and chunky yarns and switch over to the finer yarns. 

Drops Baby Alpaca Silk is one of the yarns I have used this year and it is so beautiful to work with. 

This yarn is one of the most beautiful yarns I have ever used, it is so soft like talcum powder. and comes in an array of soft-tone vintage colours. 
If you are a Double Knit devotee don’t be afraid to try some of the finer yarns. Yes, it takes longer to complete but it gave me a huge sense of happiness as it progressed and more importantly it never hurt my hands anymore than my usual yarn.
