My little kitchen had a revamp and I honestly couldn’t be happier. My sons and I live in a rented council house, our happy-ever-after home.

I bought some bits and bobs from Dunelm to make it special. A new coffee/tea/sugar canister, a heart-shaped fruit bowl, a watermelon rug and a worktop saver are all brightly coloured.

My new rug makes me smile every time I go into my kitchen so I wanted to share the happiness.

Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, this Watermelon designed rug is such a vibrant and chic print that effortlessly adds a pop of colour to my little kitchen space. The round shape adds a touch of uniqueness to my space, creating a focal point that complements my kitchen vibe.

Care Instructions state:

“Unroll your rug and leave for 24 hours during first use. Maintain your rug by shaking to remove trapped dirt and debris. Vacuum regularly with a nozzle attachment. Cut any loose fibres with scissors, do not pull. Outdoor rugs are easy care and UV resistant and can be hose cleaned, for smaller spills blot with a clean cloth and leave to dry. Rotate every few months and bring indoors in adverse weather to prolong the life of your rug. When using this rug indoors add an anti-slip to prevent slipping.”

We have a lot of kitchen traffic from my sons, dog, cat and myself so this is perfect for us as it is so easy to clean. Although I bought a anti-slip under mat it really doesn’t need it. But try for yourself as I don’t want to be blamed for any Karen’s slipping with a mug of hot tea and scalding the cat.
