Happiness for me is this yarn by Stylecraft called Greengage, there is just something so magical and earthy about this yarn. It is a lush yarn with combined shades of twisted green. I have used this yarn for many of my crochet projects and it never fails me.
The aim of this happy little crochet project was inspired by heather on hillsides. I just thought it would be so precious to be able to connect a baby to nature in this way. Heather for me symbolises confidence and a free spirit as it grows in places that are quite hard for flowers to grow.
Heather is also seen as a symbol of good luck.
Purple and pink heather seems to compliment the colour of moss perfectly so these colours were selected for this baby blanket.
Stylecraft Special DK Colours Greengage, Bottle, Emperor, Magenta, Candy Floss and Proper Purple.
The humble granny square blanket looked so pretty on completion. The main body of the blanket is greengage with a border of pinks and purples.
