Healing within can often be a long journey. Just when you feel content and happy in your little corner of the world, life throws a curveball, reopening old wounds and resurfacing pain and confusion.
There is no set timeline for healing, but it is necessary for growth and self-reflection. It’s vital to sit with the discomfort of inner healing.
Opening up to healing can bring a multitude of feelings to the surface. These emotions should be acknowledged, felt, and then released.
Some days are just painful, and that is okay, they will pass.
“…happiness is a journey, not a destination.”

Today I need to remember, my journey through healing towards happiness involves embracing both the journey and the destination.
Embrace everything healing looks like:
- some days healing looks like crocheting happily..
- some days healing looks like a mug of warm tea.
- some days healing looks like a new book
- some days healing looks like putting on some lipstick and a smile.
- some days healing looks like a lovely meal in a nice restaurant.
- some days healing looks like a CBT therapy appointment.
- some days healing looks like laughing.
- some days healing looks like making a list of all you have been through.
- some days healing looks like wearing your best dress and feeling pretty.
- some days healing looks like a beautiful day out.
- some days healing looks like smiling at a stranger.
- some days healing looks like you feel a weight of bricks on your chest.
- some days healing looks like a gift of freedom.
- some days healing looks like you will never smile again.
- some days healing looks like being a small vulnerable child.
- some days healing looks like you are the happiest woman alive.
- some days healing looks like being overly independent.
- some days healing looks like taking a shower.
- some days healing looks like crying in the shower.
- some days healing looks like catching up with a friend.
- some days healing looks like planning a holiday.
- some days healing looks like writing a letter you never send.
- some days healing looks like planting some wild flowers.
- some days healing looks like throwing out a dress as it holds memories for you.
- some days healing looks like you are mentally solid and not healing
- some days healing looks like staying in bed and just making it through another day…
Learning to love every emotion always

“Healing involves discomfort. But so is refusing to heal. And over time, refusing to heal is always more painful.”
We’re in this together, one stitch at a time.
Hope your day is magical and you notice the small precious moments.
Love & healing hugs
