Yarn Review: Yarnsmiths Pebble Haze Aran Prints for Autumn Projects

I was thrilled to receive this gorgeous yarn from Wool Warehouse to try out, and I have to say; it’s absolutely lovely!

Let’s dive into what makes this yarn so special and why I’m completely smitten with it.

First off, let’s talk about the texture. Pebble Haze is a “blown yarn,” meaning the fibres are air-blown into a tube rather than spun. This gives it a unique feel that I really enjoy working with. I first fell in love with this texture when I sampled the original DK version, so I was over the moon when it was released as an Aran weight. Wool Warehouse does mention that the shades may vary within each ball and between balls of the same colour. However, I found this to be a non-issue; it wasn’t noticeable at all in my crochet project.

The subtle variation in this yarn creates a soothing, almost stonewashed effect that adds a cosy, Hygge-inspired touch to any item.

Pebble Haze Aran Prints is a soft, variegated yarn that’s a true pleasure to work with.

Each 200g ball is a generous size, and priced at £12.50, it’s a great value. Even better, at the time of writing, this yarn is available at a launch offer, saving you £5 per ball!

As soon as I saw this yarn, I knew exactly what I wanted to create. Going through menopause has made me more conscious of my clothing choices, and I’m gradually transitioning to natural fibres. With its high cotton content (61% Cotton, 39% Acrylic), this yarn was the perfect choice for crafting a cosy tunic to wear over a dress.

What I used:

2 x 200g balls of Yarnsmiths Pebble Haze Aran Prints

Shade: Chesil

Hook: 5mm

I am totally delighted how this turned out and can not wait to the cooler Autumn months to be able to wear it.

Hope you try this yarn, let me know what you think of it

Love & gentle hugs

Vanessa xx
