November 2024 Yarn Haul

Each month, I share my latest yarn haul; but with a twist. This isn’t just about showing off new yarn; it’s part of my journey to embrace a more intentional, minimalist lifestyle. Cutting back on my yarn addiction one skein at a time…

November was a super adventure as I was kidnapped and taken to a yarn shop which I have wanted to visit for ages. I truly could have bought the whole shop so I am proud for leaving with my purchases.

Visiting a yarn shop should be essential as it enriched my cro-jo tenfold. I get a massive dopamine rush looking at yarn on line, making combinations and enjoying the colours together in the virtual online basket. But you do miss out on all the other yarn which you may not have fallen in love with yet.

Nothing will ever take away my love for my favourite yarn store Wool Warehouse, they are the best ever for service but I did enjoy looking at the yarn in this other place also.

My November Yarn Haul

Let’s do a deep dive into what I bought.

Yarn: Stylecraft Highland Heathers
What I plan to make: A baby blanket

If you remember last month I bought two balls of Stylecraft’s gorgeous Highland Heather yarn in shade Heather well I fell in love with is on the shelf next to it’s other shades so now it is going to be a large blanket. Such beautiful yarn shades it was a sin to not expand the blanket.

Yarn: 200g Duck Egg Blue Wool
What I plan to make: A baby blanket

This bundle was £1 in a local Charity Shop so I couldn’t leave it, that would be a sin!

Yarn: Cygnet Silcaress Yarn Two 100g Balls
What I plan to make: A pretty ladies vest

Other Dopamine Yarn Hauls
(Gifted or Commissions)

I have been asked by a loved one to make them a large granny square blanket so these are the colours which were selected.

Yarn: Stylecraft Special Chunky
What I plan to make: A beautiful Granny Square Blanket.

Conclusion

Well I am super proud with myself for my lack of excess purchasing. I have still enjoyed looking at yarn on store websites and even gone as far as it being placed in my basket… but

I never bought what I did not need and for that I get a gold star 🌟

Celebrating the small wins daily!

Hope your day is magical and you notice the small precious moments.

Love & healing hugs
