January 2025 Yarn Haul

Each month, I share my latest yarn haul; but with a twist. This isn’t just about showing off new yarn; it’s part of my journey to embrace a more intentional, minimalist lifestyle. Cutting back on my yarn addiction one skein at a time…

December 2024 Yarn Haul

Well Gold Star badge goes to me as I never purchased any yarn at all in the whole of December, proud of that accolade.

Visiting a yarn shop should be essential as it enriched my cro-jo tenfold. I get a massive dopamine rush looking at yarn on line, making combinations and enjoying the colours together in the virtual online basket. But you do miss out on all the other yarn which you may not have fallen in love with yet.

Nothing will ever take away my love for my favourite yarn store Wool Warehouse, they are the best ever for service but I did enjoy looking at the yarn in this other place also.

My November Yarn Haul

Let’s do a deep dive into what I bought.

Yarn: Stylecraft Highland Heathers
What I plan to make: A baby blanket

I have fallen in love with this yarn all over again. When it was first released I thought it was so beautiful but back then the colour selection what very limited. I bough two balls to make a small baby blanket in heather, then fell in love with the other shades when I caught sight of them in a yarn shop so decided to expand the blanket.

Now I needed two more balls to complete the border as I want to give it a pretty solid border.

Yarn: 13 balls of 100g Stylecraft Special Chunky
What I plan to make: A large granny blanket

This bundle was selected for my next large Granny Square.

Conclusion

Well I am super proud with myself for my lack of excess purchasing during December. I have still enjoyed looking at yarn on store websites and even gone as far as it being placed in my basket… but

I never bought what I did not need and for that I get a gold star 🌟

Celebrating the small wins daily!

Love & hugs
