June 2025 Yarn Haul

Little intro for anyone new to my blog: Back in 2024 I decided to share my latest yarn haul; but with a twist. It was not about showing off new yarn; it was part of a journey to embrace a more intentional, minimalist lifestyle. Cutting back on my yarn addiction one skein at a time…

Guilty as charged

Where has the time gone? Somehow, we’ve landed in June, and I realised I haven’t shared a single yarn haul update in what feels like forever!

I wish I had a neat little reason, but truthfully, life’s been a bit of a whirlwind. With my two youngest boys unwell and in hospital recently, things have understandably felt a little upside down. And let’s be honest, sometimes life just gets busy, doesn’t it?

My crochet time has taken a bit of a backseat. The heatwave didn’t help either, it’s been far too warm to be wrapped up in a chunky granny square blanket! Instead, I found comfort in smaller makes, little bursts of creativity that didn’t require me to be swaddled in yarn.

Another unexpected block? Colour. Some of the yarns in my stash have been sitting there for good reason, they just didn’t spark that “yes!” feeling. They weren’t part of my dopamine-boosting colour palette, and that really dulled my enthusiasm.

So, I decided it was time for a refresh.

This month, I switched things up and returned to an old favourite: Paintbox Yarns. It’s been a while since I worked with them, but their bold, joyful colours always lift my spirits and make the creative ideas flow again.

I went for a selection of happy Spring shades, bright pops of sunshine, and everything in between. Each ball feels like a little celebration of the season, and they’ve completely reignited my love of creating.

Here’s to more colourful days and the joy of stitching something beautiful—one loop at a time.

Conclusion

Well I am super proud with myself for my lack of excess purchasing and for igniting the passion again.

I never bought what I did not need and for that I get a gold star 🌟

Celebrating the small wins daily!

Love & hugs
