I’m so excited to finally share the start of my dolls house renovation!
I’ve always dreamed of having a dolls house of my own, but for years I brushed it off as a “silly” idea, something meant for children, not a grown woman. Still, the longing never quite went away. Then one day, one of my favourite designers began sharing her own dolls house journey, and that was the final spark I needed. I took the plunge and placed a bid on a little vintage beauty on eBay.

When I found out I’d won, I actually squealed with excitement! It felt like one of those serendipitous, meant-to-be moments, we were heading to Wales for a little relaxing getaway, and I was able to collect it on the way.
My new treasure is a Sid Cooke Georgian dolls house, lovingly restored and painted by an elderly gentleman. I almost felt guilty knowing I’d be changing everything about it, but then I reminded myself that’s what happens with any home you fall in love with. You want to make it your own, to add your mark and style.

The vision?
A total transformation. The exterior will be refreshed, complete with a pink front door, black slate roof, and plenty of flowers, because no dream home is complete without blooms!
I’ve always adored Oh So Daisy designs, their wallpapers and artwork are just so me. If I were able-bodied enough to redesign my whole real-life house (or if I didn’t live in a home full of men, mum to five boys here! ), I’d fill it with all the pinks, prettiness, and joyful touches I love. So this little dolls house will be my miniature dream world, a perfectly “me” space, full of light, pink, and happy details.
It’s going to be the loveliest project to work on through autumn and winter.

Inside, I’m planning to completely rework the layout so it becomes Wool Goddess HQ , my own tiny creative sanctuary. The ground floor will have an open-plan kitchen and living area, plus a hall with stairs. Upstairs, there’ll be a bathroom and a cosy craft room (of course!), and the attic will become a dreamy sloped-ceiling bedroom I’ve always wished for.
Follow along for updates as I bring this little world to life!
Love & hugs
