Thanks a bunch for stopping by and taking the time to read my disclosure policy, probably the most thrilling part of any blog, right? But stick with me, it’s important, and I promise to keep it real (and maybe mildly entertaining).
This little corner of the internet, my blog and Instagram, is a labour of love, Yorkshire tea, and a slightly out-of-control yarn stash. I pour a lot of time, research, and heart into creating content that’s free for you to enjoy. But as much as I adore blogging about crochet and holistic living, my passion doesn’t pay for the yarn, let alone the snacks I consume while crafting. So yes, I do occasionally collaborate with brands or use affiliate links to help keep the creative wheels spinning (and the yarn basket full).
How It Works (A.K.A. Why You Might See “Gifted” or “Affiliate”)
From time to time, I team up with brands, sometimes they send me lovely things to try (marked as “ad – Gifted”), and sometimes I use affiliate links, which might earn me a tiny commission if you click and buy, at absolutely no extra cost to you. Win-win, right?
Here’s the deal though: whether it’s paid, gifted, or just something I stumbled upon during a 2 a.m. scroll, I always give you my honest, unfiltered opinion. Brands don’t get to write my reviews for me. Nope. Not happening. If it’s featured here, it means I believe in it, I use it, or I truly think it could benefit you.
My Yarn-Spun Integrity
I’m not here to sell out, I’m here to share. That means you’ll only see products or services I genuinely like, use, or believe in. Integrity means everything to me (along with a good cup of tea and a sharp crochet hook).
PR Product Policy (AKA: Please Read Before Sending Me Stuff)
Thinking of sending me a PR sample or gifted item? Lovely! Here’s what you need to know:
- I decide if and when an item appears on the blog or socials. My body runs on unpredictable chronic illness time, not brand timelines.
- If I don’t like the product, it’s not suitable, or it simply doesn’t work (hello, miracle skincare claims), I’ll probably just quietly pass rather than go full savage online. I watched Bambi, I know better.
- I don’t do unboxings, talk-to-camera Instagram stories, or overly chatty reels. It’s just not my thing, and I want this to stay fun, not feel like a sales pitch.
- If I do post about a gifted item, I’ll always let you know it was gifted, no sneaky business here.
- Any returns, customs fees, or other red tape? That’s on you, not me.
In Short…
By monetising my blog just a smidge, I can keep doing what I love, creating helpful, heartfelt content, raising money for charity (all profits after yarn costs go there!), and sharing what I learn with this amazing community. Plus, it keeps my yarn shelves happy, which is really what it’s all about, isn’t it?
Thanks for being here, supporting the blog, and letting me ramble on about all things yarn and wellbeing. Now, back to the stitches!
