I wasn’t going to write up the details for these snood scarves, but then a lady on Instagram asked me, and here I am.
My gorgeous Neapolitan ice cream-inspired snood scarves are made with Yarnsmiths Woolly Wool, a lovely 100% Wool chunky yarn. Woolly Wool is crafted from a premium blend of the finest fibres from South America and New Zealand, creating a voluptuous yarn with superb softness, strength, and resilience.

For any complete beginners wanting total guidance, simply pop over to YouTube, as there are millions of great tutorials, so I am not about to make one, as that would be like reinventing the wheel. My patterns are simply the colour combination, yarn list and colour order rather than how to actually form the stitch.
What you will need:
Each scarf uses 7 x 50g balls of yarn.
A 9mm Crochet Hook
Scissors and a needle to sew in ends.

The Border
Using your 9 mm crochet hook, work the border in UK double crochet throughout, changing colours as follows:
Border Row 1: Using Scarlet Red, work one round of double crochet evenly around the snood.
Border Rows 2–3: Continue in Scarlet Red, working one round of double crochet for each row.
Border Rows 4–6: Change to Light Pink and work three rounds of double crochet.
Border Rows 7–8: Change to Scarlet Red and work two rounds of double crochet.
Border Rows 9–10: Change to Light Pink and work two rounds of double crochet.
Border Rows 11–12: Change to Scarlet Red and work two rounds of double crochet.
Border Rows 13–14: Change to Light Pink and work two rounds of double crochet.
Border Rows 15–16: Change to Scarlet Red and work two rounds of double crochet.
Border Rows 17–18: Change to Chocolate Brown and work two rounds of double crochet.
Final Edging: To finish, work one round of crab stitch (reverse double crochet) in Chocolate Brown for a neat, decorative edge.
For a simpler finish, work one final round of double crochet instead. This looks equally beautiful and gives the snood a lovely, clean edge.

If you make this design, please tag me in the image, as it truly makes my day thinking I have inspired someone.
Remember, that is why I took the time to create this blog; it was because of those beautiful crochet moments when someone told me my crochet inspired them to make one.
